Load 28 was selected as the facade install contractor for the curtain wall & frameless glass
installation at the Flinders University Student Hub Project. The builder for the project was
Lendlease, and we are proud to report a successful install project for our client and the
builder.
The scope for the Flinders Hub project, was to provide all the access, lifting solutions and
installation of curtain wall products in a very tight and restrictive site. Fortunately Load
28 is best suited for this type of work,, with its extensive fleet of limited access cranes,
vacuum lifting technology and installation crew.
The scope of the project consisted of the setout and fitting of all frameless glass point fix
brackets, curtain wall brackets and associated flashings.
The project quantities can be defined as:
* 784m2 of Framless glass panels, consisting of 162 panels
* 1020 m2 of Curtain Wall Panel, consisting of 527 panels
The Load 28 installation and crane crew successfully installed all panels; safely, on time,
on budget and in accordance with the clients Quality Management System.
