The Torrens Parade Ground was lit up in a sea of black, white and red at Load 28’s 230ton Crane Launch last Thursday.
The exclusive event was attended by close to 100 industry leaders and stakeholders, there to celebrate Load 28’s ongoing achievements in the industry and their latest acquisition – the Liebherr LTM1230 crane.
The Hon. Corey Wingard, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport was in attendance and updated guests on the future of building and construction in South Australia and congratulated Load 28 for their innovative thinking and forward planning with the significant purchase of their new crane.
Load 28 Managing Director Marcus Rigney spoke proudly and passionately as he thanked the “Load 28 family” for their efforts in helping him achieve such a magnificent milestone in his business.
“This machine rounds off our fleet and ensures that we can provide an end-to-end solution for our clients,” Marcus Rigney said.
“When my brother Tom and I made the decision to purchase the Liebherr 230ton crane it wasn’t about being the biggest crane provider in the industry, but the best. The Liebherr LTM1230 employs the very best technology to keep us safe and efficient when managing lift and carry operations on your site,” Marcus said.
Liebherr Australia General Manager Andrew Esquilant spoke via video link from Sydney about the outstanding new technological features of the crane and how it is set to impact the way business is operating in the building, construction and civil sectors.
Some key features of the LTM1230 include:
- Smaller than its predecessor but with a larger boom height and significant higher boom capacity;
- VarioBase technology which calculates maximum lifting capacities in terms of real time location on the support base, ensuring greater efficiency on site;
- VarioBallast technology that ensures 20% more lifting capacity than its rival cranes.
According to Marcus Rigney the new features of this crane means it boasts a higher capacity, more efficiency and a longer reach than other cranes of its type in the market.
It wasn’t all work and no play though; guests at the event were treated to energetic entertainment from Parkour group and aerial artists Circobats and enjoyed delicious food and drinks whilst networking with industry colleagues.
